tl;dr -- you have a kind of input that is "internal", it's a wave of randomly accessed memories combined with a feeling that has a nice aftertaste (a kind of funky cheese).

Forget all about content or what story you're telling yourself; whether highly mutated distant memories or emotion-tainted recent memories that you're in the process of burning in.

Just consider that you are untangling something that was tangled up and thrown at you buy your inner beast, or broiling something underneath your journal of consciousness.
