Can I just ask you to put aside any knee-jerk reactions you might have to being put in the position of having to think about your favorite topic? Just for one minute?

If you went to, say Ireland, and found two "locals" passionately arguing about who is a Big Endian and who is a Little Endian, and you saw this devolve into a fist fight and a lot of "very serious" scowls being thrown around the public house, because, after all, who is a BE and who is a LE... would you not stop and think, "hm, maybe both of these 'sides' are arbitrary and mostly just have unthinking emotion in common?"
