Why would it not be like this:

The mishmash of urgent ideas and rambling chicken little stories are a tool. It's 100% explicit and intentional. The point is not "you must also believe that the old wiggs are the best ever!" That sounds ridiculous to anyone, and it does not even make logical sense.

The point is more a broom handle in the spokes of the mind. The topic is irrelevant. Maybe its purpose is to "buy time to think!" or "change the topic, they're about to find out!" ... it could be any number of ...great candidates.
