It's not ok not to know
Here's a good way to turn yourself into a clown:
- Convince yourself somehow or other that it's not ok to not know the answer. Not knowing makes you a lesser being. Ouch.
- Try to separate the "being" right with the "feeling" right. Really get these two separated as much as possible, put them in opposite brain hemispheres if possible. This lets you be wrong but feel right, which makes the owie go away.
- When asked "do you know", just say anything. Let the words flow. You feel like you're right, so you can reset easy.
